Campus Safety

Campus Safety

Beulah Heights University and the Department of Campus Safety are committed to providing a safe environment for all students, faculty, staff and visitors. Our security officers patrol across the main campus and housing on foot and motorized carts.

We also work with the Atlanta Police Department to patrol the Beulah Heights University Campus area. It's important to remember that while the area surrounding Beulah Heights University is in a residential area, and relatively in a safe environment individuals should remain aware of their surroundings at all times.

Vision

The Vision of Campus Security is to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, students, and campus residents that promotes an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and spiritual growth through Christ centered education.

Mission

The mission of the Beulah Heights University Security Department is to provide for the safety of all students, faculty, staff, visitors and constituents; protect the assets of the University and all other properties within its jurisdiction; and to improve the quality of life by viable interaction with our community.

Its mission is to be accomplished by meeting the following objectives:

  • Preventing crime through effective patrol deployment, constant visibility, and residential life involvement.
  • Maintaining a high standard of professional conduct.
  • Regulating campus access.
  • Utilizing effective technology for campus security.
  • Managing and controlling special events.

The Beulah Heights University Campus Security Department also enforces non-criminal regulations and house rules established by the University, i.e., non-criminal use of alcohol/drugs, noise violations, curfew violations, proper facilities use, etc.

Security and Technology

Beulah Heights University has installed surveillance cameras throughout the main campus. Collectively, they cover about 90% of the open space on campus, with an emphasis on parking lots and pedestrian routes. The cameras are recorded 24 hours a day and can be accessed remotely and/or viewed on site by Campus Safety offices.
