Federal Work Study Eligibility: 

  • A student enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student is eligible to receive assistance from the FWS Program if they are eligible for Federal Student Aid from the Department of Education, have completed a FAFSA application, and have been awarded funding.
  • In addition, a student must have financial need; that is, his/her cost of attendance (COA) must be greater than his/her Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and they must not already be awarded up to their COA limit. After you have applied, your eligibility will be reviewed as a part of the hiring process.​

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Administrative Assistant

Approximate Hours per Week: 20 hrs

Position Description*:

  • Data Entry for various projects, including client information system to track services
  • Compile and prepare reports  from Outreach services to process monthly reporting to  the USDA and Outreach Monthly Stats
  • Data quality control for client information services -  Homeless Information System
  • Track volunteer hours through trackitforward.com
  • Assist in volunteer management via Volunteer Spot online  tool
  • Track and disseminate additional needs on clients application
  • Place follow – up calls for various projects
  • Print  weekly report
  • Maintaining reporting in- kind Food Donation weighs and values.
  • Filing

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Writing Lab Assistant (Graduate Student)
Department: Academics
Classification: Non - Exempt
Reports To: Department Chair of General Studies
Employment Status: Scholarship-based
Salary Range: Determined by the Board of Trustees

Position Description*: The Writing Lab Assistant will be an individual who will serve as a peer tutor for any Beulah Heights University student who needs assistance with his/her writing, as it relates to Beulah Heights University assignments.

Major Job-Related Duties & Functions: The lab assistant will be responsible for assisting Beulah Heights University students with written projects, using guidelines provided.  Additionally, it is the responsibility of the lab assistant to maintain the lab, materials, equipment, and to take and maintain accurate attendance.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.  Must demonstrate writing acumen, e.g.: knowledge of mechanics, expository writing, persuasive writing, and appropriate citation styles.  The candidate must possess the following:  strong communication, computer, and organizational skills. Additionally, the candidate must be self-directed, and demonstrate a desire to help others.

Special Notes: The recipient of this scholarship must commit to work in the lab at least twenty hours per week.
