Business Formation & Contract Basics

Content: This class will teach individuals how to file paperwork for a for-profit company and more fully understand how to create legally binding contracts. Business formations will include LLC, Org, and Inc.

  • Saturday, July 31st from 9am-12noon and 1pm-2pm

CERTIFICATE COURSE FEE: $300
(50% Scholarship will be extended to early bird applicants up to 48 hours before class start date: discounted registration fee for course $150)

Cassandra Kirk, Esq
Effective contracting allows people to conduct business, negotiate residential situations and mitigate risks. Cassandra Kirk holds certifications from the National Judicial College in Handling Small Claims Cases Effectively and Media Management as well as certification from the National Association of Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist and is a National Institute for Trial Advocacy teacher-trainer. She lectures at Continuing Legal Education seminars and teaches The Legality of Business in the MBA program at BHU. She is the first Chief Magistrate Judge in Fulton County, appointed by the Governor and elected by the people of Fulton County to shape the newly independent court using her over 25 years of legal experience as a jurist, prosecutor, defense attorney, civil litigator, and administrative director. Cassandra received her B.A. from Williams College, and her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Dr. Rashad Richey has an extensive background in nonprofit development, executive leadership and fundraising. He has successfully created over 100 nonprofit organizations and sits on the Board of Directors for Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Recovery Consultants of Atlanta, Inc., Ocuprep Training and Children Rights. Dr. Richey holds several advance degrees including a Doctorate from Clark Atlanta University, completed studies in Executive Leadership from Cornell University and is currently completing his law degree at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
