Rev. Gideon Robi
Rev. Gideon Robi resides in Lilburn, Georgia. He grew up and was educated in Kenya,
where he later married Jerioth W. Ndirangu, on August 6, 1994. Nine months after his
marriage, they relocated to the United States. He is the father of two sons, Jeremiah
and Jonathan.
Rev. Robi is the Executive Director of The Kenya Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization committed to providing opportunities for Christians to minister to children in
Kenya. Through strategic partnerships, The Kenya Project supports children’s health,
education, and spiritual development by providing critical resources and facilities. Rev.
Robi has also served as a board member and is currently the chair of the development
committee of the Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA).
Rev. Robi’s theological and academic training spans several institutions. He is a
graduate of Moffat College of Bible (Diploma in Bible and Theology, Class of 1993),
Beulah Heights University (B.A. in Bible and Theology, Class of 1996), Luther Rice
Seminary (Master of Divinity, Class of 1999), and Clark Atlanta University (Master of
Library Science, Class of 2003).
Prior to his current role, Rev. Robi served for four years as a Cataloging Librarian at
Columbia Theological Seminary. He transitioned to The Kenya Project in June 2007,
where he continues to provide visionary leadership. He is a licensed and ordained
minister with the Africa Inland Church of Kenya.
Rev. Robi is also an author. His most recent book, It Is Not an Easy Chair: The Cost and
Calling of Christian Leadership, offers a prophetic and pastoral reflection on servant
leadership, courage, and faithfulness in ministry.
