3/19/20 – PRESIDENT KARANJA UPDATE ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Presidents Desk3 19

Greetings,

In less than a month, our lives have changed drastically. Going about our daily activities has unequivocally been disrupted by a destructive disease. I pledge to Stay Connected and keep you well informed of what is happening at Beulah Heights University.

With putting your safety at the forefront of my decisions, remote learning through means of online and Zoom will extend to the end of the Spring semester. Moving to online and Zoom classes presents its own set of challenges, and we are doing our best to provide you with the necessary support. Further communications will be provided to include helpful tips and a resource center for your questions concerning classes and technology.

In continuing to be cautious, the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2020 on May 9th, will be postponed. Please understand that this postponement should not shadow your hard work and dedication in reaching your goal. BHU will celebrate your accomplishment once it has been determined safe to do so. My office will keep you apprised of more information as it becomes available.

Also, the committed staff at Beulah will continue to support you in every way possible. Office hours are adjusted to reflect Monday thru Thursday from 9am to 5pm effective immediately.

Please continue to be diligent in abiding by the recommendations of the CDC to include local, state, and federal guidelines that have been issued to keep you and your loved ones safe.

As a community, we will pull through this and be stronger than before!

Sincerely,

Benson M. Karanja, Ed.D., H.S.C.
President
